Petersburg Tractor Plant updates its line of high-power tractors

The Petersburg Tractor Plant (part of the Kirovsky Zavod group) has launched a new line of Kirovets K-7M 300 to 428 hp high-power agricultural tractors.
 
What sets the K-7M tractors apart is their original, state-of-the-art design. Depending on their model and trim level, they can be equipped with new diesel engines produced either by Mercedes-Benz or by the Tutaev Motor Plant, all of which meet the Stage IIIА environmental standard.
 
The transmission group has been significantly improved in comparison with previous-generation tractors. The Petersburg Tractor Plant’s designers have developed an automated T7 transmission specifically for the K-7Ms, manufactured in the plant’s new transmission workshop using cutting-edge technologies. Reinforced T400 drive axles increase the tractors’ reliability, while multifunctional joystick transmission control and protection against human error is provided by the KOMANDPOST-3 system. In terms of ease of control, these 17-metric-ton vehicles are comparable to passenger cars.
 
The new tractors have a more spacious cab with improved visibility and sound insulation: the noise level within the operator's workplace never exceeds 74 dB.
 
Large-diameter wheels provide maximum traction for the tractor and reduce pressure on the soil.
 
The Kirovets K-7M can also be equipped with a high-precision satellite autopilot system from Trimble.
