Kirovsky Zavod and leading Russian university discuss joint gas industry project

Director General of Kirovsky Zavod Georgy Semenenko and the Rector of the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and Russian Academy of Sciences Academician Professor Andrei Rudskoy have discussed potential cooperation.

Zavod Kirov-Energomash (a subsidiary of Kirovsky Zavod) and the university plan to carry out joint work on development and production of an axial compressor for the transportation of natural gas. As well as working on scientific and technological projects, the two sides plan to cooperate in the area of education, by setting up a university department at the factory and setting up targeted admission for the university. Kirovsky Zavod is also interested in developing small innovative businesses together with the university.
