Kirovsky Zavod named among top 6 socially responsible enterprises

Kirovsky Zavod has taken sixth place in the 2021 Social Responsibility Ranking drawn up by the newspaper Delovoy Peterburg, in which the 80 largest businesses in St Petersburg and Leningrad Region competed for inclusion.

The experts awarded points based on five criteria. They assessed how open companies were to innovation, whether they had plans to increase labor productivity, and their level of experience in partnering with government authorities. They also took note of any charitable projects and looked at how the enterprises were taking responsibility for the environment.

A total of 15 companies were featured in the final list, including Gazprom Neft, X5 Group, Rosseti Lenenergo, Sveza, and BIOCAD.

“Caring only about profit and not about employees is a very short-sighted position that will ultimately harm the business. Showing concern for employee health and safety, supporting education, culture and sports, and contributing to the development of a city's infrastructure all improve the quality of life of employees and other citizens. This, in turn, makes production more successful. After all, people who are prosperous and confident about their future are more engaged in their work,” said Georgy Semenenko, CEO of Kirovsky Zavod.
