Kirovets tractor presented at agro-industrial trade show in Australia

The Kirovets K-744R4 agricultural tractor was presented at Australia's national Wimmera Machinery Field Days event in March by the Australian Productivity Council, an official dealer for Peterburgsky Traktorny Zavod (a subsidiary of Kirovsky Zavod). 

About twenty Australian farmers offered to test out the Kirovets in their fields and make a decision about purchasing one. The main advantages of the Russian tractor noted by the Australian farmers included its combination of a competitive price with high engine power and fuel efficiency. The Kirovets is between one-and-a-half and two times cheaper to run than its US competitors. 

The high demand for powerful tractors in Australia is due to the focus on grains in the country's agricultural sector. More than 20 million hectares must be sown for a country of 24 million people. Over half of these are sown with wheat for export.
