Russian Vice-Premier visited Kirovsky Zavod

Dmitri Rogosin, deputy Chairman of the Government of Russian Federation, visited on the 16th of June Kirovsky Zavod, where he took a look at construction process of steam turbines for a new generation of nuclear-powered icebreakers (project 22220).

 

This project involves construction of three icebreakers, the first - in summer 2019, the second and the third - in 2020 and 2021.
 
At the meeting held in the framework of the visit, the participants approved measures that would ensure timely construction of steam - turbine plants for nuclear-powered icebreaking fleet. 

In-plant tests of main turbine generator for starboard of nuclear-powered icebreaker Arktika took place on the 19th of June.
